Ab and Strength Workout

I have been going to the gym a lot but I've only been doing cardio. I started Couch to 5K and love that I have a set running workout that I can cross off when I finish. I feel like having something set up week by week like that really works for me and keeps me accountable. Does anyone have a strength workout that is kind of set up like that? Also, one for abs? I go to a gym that has just about every machine available as well as free weights.

I'd love any imput! Thanks!

    for lower abs i love the tailbone lift: Lay on your back with your hands by your side. Using your abs pull the legs up and lift your tailbone up slightly. Using your abs to slowly lower the tailbone back down and the legs (don't let the legs touch the ground. and Repeat.
