How much can your skin tighten up after weight loss? I do realize there is a limit so I will give you a my specs. I have been around 200lbs for the last few years and am down to 187 now since i started jan 25,2011. my first goal was 185 but changed to 175 by May 1. Ultimately I would like to be 160 by the end of the summer. Opinion anyone?

A lot depends on your age, sex and genetics. The younger you are the better your skin will bounce back. I know I'm looking at having saggy skin by the time I'm at goal, but I'd rather be a bit saggy and fit than fat & unhealthy.

When I was 38 I went from about 215 to 155. I put the pics on my profile. You can see on my final pic I had some extra skin around my belly button. It was real noticable when I did pushups. It took me about a year.
  • This is a concern for me as well. I am currently at 176 with a goal of 140-145. My problem is that I've had 4 large babies, my last at age 30 and I am now 33. My last two were both close to 10lbs. I have a feeling my skin isn't going to go back...it's already a bit saggy after losing 8lbs, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Keep me posted how it goes for you, I am very interested...new here too...so friend me if ya like :)

I was expecting a huge flap the way discribed your abdominals. I'm 39 in May and hope to be the best shape of life when 40 and compete at very high level of mountain biking. Thanks for everyones time.
