Does anyone know of any decent Heart Rate Monitors that you don't need to wear a chest strap with? I know it won't be as good or accurate as the one with the strap, but I have a large chest and I tried a timex strapped one on and it fit but was tight and I don't want to break it and have to buy a new one. Any suggestions, I would like to spend under $100, but if that's not possible I will go a little over.

i know you want one without a strap but polar's new straps are soft and hardly noticeable... just a thought. plus they go up to like 4x size....

Mia or mio, can't remember which one it is. They are pretty acurate from what I hear and don't need a chest strap. Polar does make big chest straps.

new balance makes a nice one- HRT Fit. It is grey with pink accents. I got it for $45 on amazon. All you have to do is take your heart rate every so often during your workout. I take it between segments or whenever I know my heart rate has changed. I have used it along with a heart rate monitor that came with an xbox fitness game which keeps constant track of your heart rate and the watch stated almost the same amount of calories burned as the game did. I love it because it pushes to work harder and keep my heart rate up :)
