Newbie in the ring...

Hi everyone,

I'm April and I'm 40 and finally getting my body back in shape. Currently I should be doing my homework instead of blogging, but I have to start this sometime! Yes, 40 and back in school... seems to be the thing for us in MI without jobs. So, I have 2 wonderful children, a great husband and a membership to the local Y. But after a year of working out pretty regularly, I still haven't lost or gained and it's time I lost! I'm hoping this will help keep me on track. I started my food diary this morning and what an eye opener that alone was! I had no idea I was taking in so many calories (I don't snack much and I thought I was eating sort of healthy meals). So my short-term goal is to get my daily calorie intake down and to stay motivated. Anyway just wanted to introduce myself...
