Why do get different numbers from different applications?

Let me explain:
I am trying to loose 2 lbs. a week. When I add this goal to my profile, different applications give me different numbers for my daily calorie intake.
For example, myfitnesspal is the lowest at 1220. About 3-4 other applications give me 1400-1700. I'm confused...

I noticed the same thing. At least with My fitnesspal, it says we need less calaroes to lose the weight, so we're more likely to actually lose it.0

Look for the fine print! Most of the other calorie apps tell you to restrict your eatting to X # of calories AND exercise off X # of calories to equal the amount needed for the desired weight loss. MFP gives you the # to lose the weight WITHOUT exercise factored in.0
