I am not eating all my Calories during the day. Is that bad? It says I am suppose to in take over 1700, that seems like an awful lot. In the morning I wake up I have a bowl of my Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal with 2% Reduced fat milk and banana and a bottle of water. 2 hours from then I will have another banana just so I am eating every couple of hours. For lunch I have my Starkist Chunk Lite Tuna very lil mayo and a very lil sweet relish in it. NO BREAD! Then I will have another banana 2 hours after that. Then for dinner I will eat a Dole Very Veggie salad with diced grilled chicken breast and a lite dressing. I am getting all my water in take. Just need help with the question....Is it bad hat I don't use up all my Calories....
Thanks

I hardly ever use all my calories for the day. But make sure you don't drop to low or you will go into starvation mode. That is not good and you will stop losing. It’s also very unhealthy.0

Yes, it is bad, if you want to lose weight in a healthy, sustainable manner. Here are some great threads that help explain how MFP works, metabolism and why eating too little will slow your metabolism. MUST READS! Good luck to you!

how many are you eating?
While you are more overweight, it won't hurt you to have a bigger calorie deficit, but as you shrink, you'll lose slower and slower till you stop. Your body needs fuel to operate, so if you go too low and you don't have those fat reserves to call on anymore, your metabolism slows down to conserve what you have.
So aim not to drop below 1400~ish, would be my advice.0 -
Hi,
Its ok to be shy 100 or 200 calories but no more than that. Otherwise your body goes into starvation mode. When that happens instead of burning calories you store every calorie you eat because you body doesn't know the next time it will eat. Also you might want to mix it up with some different fruit. Bananas are very high in sugar. Good Luck with everything0 -
I wouldn't go under 1200, I would also try, eating every 3-4hrs. and eating a variety of fruits, instead of banana's all the time. Try mixing up your foods as well. It can get boring eating the same things all the time.0
