I think being overweight kept me from getting that flight attendant job I was always applying for.
  • I was just thinking about this earlier. I get worried that I won't fit into things when I try new activities. Like Rock Climbing - I was fearful that they wouldn't have a harness big enough. Or skiing with friends, I was concerned that they wouldn't have a life jacket big enough. Or getting on a plane,I'm worried that I'll be too big for the seats. All of these fears have been unfounded but it plays on my mind before I go to do anything. I don't want to be embarrassed and told you're too fat to do ...........!

I used to have to worry that I was too small for things and actually that proved more of an issue when I was thinner (before marriage, I'm ruined after marriage lol) because often I was too skinny to fit.

I haven't reached my goal., I have lost 18kg since my heaviest but it has been slow slow slow. What I regret is letting myself get to this point. What I would do differently is, 6 years ago when I had just put on 5kg, I would have stopped it then and become more conscious then.

Riding rollercoasters. Well, I take that back. My husband will shove on a harness until it pops into place if I really wanna ride, and it still fits. Unfortunately, however, I know this is embarrassing for him (even though he won't admit to it) so I try not to ask him to have to do it.
  • It's kept me from being fun - no dating, no parties, just none of that.

I've always felt guilty in regard to my spouse. He's so handsome but I've always been 250-285 and feeling ugly. This makes me self conscious and not fun to be around. I want to be thinner and look better for him.. he's such a nice guy, always telling me I'm beautiful and the best looking girl he's ever seen... But I know I'll look better thinner and be more enjoyable company for him!

I'm down 23 pounds now and already I can buy clothes from a normal store again, fit into my old size xl jacket and walk around in a tank top! I can't wait to lose 23 more!

Rollercoaster here, my cousins first time to Wonderland so was looking forward to it, got in line and boom, newest coaster at the time = smallest seats, I fit in the rest of the rides at the park.

Chasing after my friends/families kids, none of my own but when you're sucking wind 5 mins after getting to the beach isn't much fun.

Just enjoying things, I hate shopping because so many clothing makers sizes vary, what is a XXL in one brand fits while in another it takes a 4XL. BUT...

I did get to buy a pair of pants today with a 6" smaller waist than what I bought at the beginning of December, and they fit, and aren't falling off like those ones are, that sucked today coming in with a cast iron pan in one hand and a 6pack of soda in the other, feeling the pants sliding lower, made it inside before I had any exposure though.

Water-tubing wasn't much fun either with a 2-person tube when the other rider was all of 120 lbs compared to my weight at the time.

I'm a football fan (soccer to my American friends) and the team I support used to have 2 different types of turnstiles at each side of the ground. I always went to the same one, which was a low type and although it was a bit of a struggle, I knew I could squeeze through. I went to a game with a new friend who took me to the other entrance where the turnstyle was a full barred one. In utter panic at the thought of being wedged in, I declared claustrophobia and walked right round the ground to get to my usual one. Which took 20 minutes and I missed a goal. The following season I found out that they replaced the low one as well so that was the end of that and haventbeen for about 4 years.

Next season, I am going to the first match

It's kept me from The beach, scuba diving, horse riding, water skiing all the things I used to do, wearing nice clothes, withdrawing from social functions etc. I want to live life to the full again.
  • Swimming. I "grew out of" my bathing suit from college a few years back and have been too embarrassed to go swim suit shopping ever since.

Taking pictures with my family. I always think I look awful and don't want to be in them.

Also swimming, I have not taken my kids to a water park or swimming because I don't want to have to wear a bathing suit. They are too young to go alone so thay have missed out because of my problem with my weight. it is not fair to them.

Hope to have changes made by summer and turn these things around.
