I’m new to MyFitnessPal. I discovered it at the beginning of February and I’m starting to get into it. I’ve FINALLY realised where I’ve been going wrong: I eat too much food!
Please forgive me for not using a real photo. I’m not embarrassed about my appearance, although obviously there is considerable room for improvement! I would just feel weird if any of my friends happen to notice me on here. I’m not really sure why, I have a lovely group of friends and I’m sure they would be very supportive if they knew I was trying to lose weight. I think I just prefer to do this incognito. So I’m looking for some cyber weight-losing buddies!

Hi and welcome
Add me if you want to. Don't worry about being 'incognito' - whatever suits you, that's what I say !

MFP is to not only for those who wish to lose weight but also for individuals like myself and many others who simply wish to support and maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you recall when signing up there were options to lose weight, maintain weight as well as gain weight. Please don’t feel that this is a Heavy-weight Anonymous group that you're friends will only laugh at. You should feel proud to be on this as it shows that you’ve got initiative and are interested in taking the rights steps to be active stay healthy and ultimately live a longer happier life. Good work.
I wish you the best. – Kbails840 -
Welcome to My Fitness Pal! I think this is a great way to help us control portions! That has always been my biggest problem! I also just joined this month, but I really like it and hope you will too. Good luck! :flowerforyou:0

52 years old, work to hard, not enough rest, no vacations, no time, now overweight by 100 pounds, high blood pressure, type two diabetic, high cholesterol, polycythemia, and alot of doctor visits. all could have been kept out of my life by diet and excercise! Some people like myself have to learn the hard way I guess. I now eat better and working on it, still not 100% but trying to eat better. Still work 12 hr days with 3 hours travel time so thats 15 hours a day gone from home, no time to excercise yet but working on that also. This site does help me. Hats off to all those before me that have succeeded!!!!!!!!!0
