WANTED: HRM with GPS. Please help me find Mr Perfect :)

Hello! I'm training for my first marathon, and it's time to upgrade to a new HRM with GPS. My Mio Motivia is dying a slow ANNOYING death anyway... I'd appreciate any info on a HRM with GPS that someone may be selling privately, or the model number of a good one I could buy. Please tell me the best place to buy it also. Thanks in advance!

    Garmin Forerunner 305 sounds exactly like what you are looking for. Amazon sells them really cheap for 120 bucks or so. Best of luck in your training!!!

    I am also training for my first marathon and I purchased the Garmin Forerunner 305 a couple of months ago. It is great.

    From an MFP running pal: He has the 305 an wishes he haD the 310. Another MFPal has the 310 anD loves it. Dang "D" only working on CAP.... WTH?!?

    What do you guys think about the Polar FT60 G1??? I only ask because my running partner just got one...I however like the price on the Garmin better! I'm not planning to really geek-out with the computer software, I just want to know my speed, miles, and calories. Still thinking the Garmin 305 will be the ticket? Thanks!

    I avoid eBay like the plague. Too many scammers on both sides of that site.(buyers and sellers) I recommend Amazon or do a "Bing" search and find the best price that way. Here's what my Bing search had:

    Polar RX 300-- you can buy it with a GPS or with a footpod. It's $149.99 with the GPS on Amazon.com right now. I use the footpod instead of the GPS (will track distance on a treadmill too) and love it!

    Picked up the Garmin 305 for $159 at Best Buy tonight....now to track down a foot pod so I can use it on my treadmill until my state thaws out and we have sunshine before 8am!
