Low carb?!?!? I'm having exactly the opposite problem -- since I'm trying to limit calories, I seem to *always* be way low on carbs!!! :frown:0

Meat
Cheese
Whey Protein
Baby Spinach - 3:2 Carb:Fiber ratio makes it low carb and my fav veggie for daily salads.
Chicken
Turkey
Tuna
Sausage Links/Patties
Eggs
Fish
The huge bulk of my diet is:
Meat Omelet
Cheese snack
Ground Beef in skillet with griller seasoning - then dump it on baby spinach - so easy lunch!
Whey Protein - during workout
Chicken/Turkey/Fish for dinner with Broccoli
Cheese snack before bed
That's a really typical day and has gotten me below 10% body fat while continuing to gain muscle.

Meat and cheese are reasonable for low carb. I ask this question and, as usual, the wonderful people on here answered. check out this website (http://genaw.com/lowcarb/recipes.html) It seriously made my life so much easier. Its really extreme, but it gives some great ideas about what to do and where to start when counting carbs. Good luck!0

I like low fat cottage cheese, tuna, salmon, eggs, chicken, turkey, ham and then veggies. I eat a lot of cauliflower because it does have a potato type consistency. I also have a great tasting protein shake called Elite 12 hr Protein Chocolate Brownie flavor that I bought at the Vitamin Shoppe that is high protein low carb and I used unsweetened Almond milk with it. Blueberries, Rasberries and Strawberries have lower carbs. I will sometimes include a quarter cup of blueberries in my shake.
I base the amount of carbs on a book that I read called Protein Power. I try to keep them at 30 net grams a day some times I go a little over especially if I"m doing hard excercises but they suggest not to go over 50 grams a day. To get net grams you subtract the fiber grams from the carb grams. I also make sure I get enough protein a day. Based on Protein Powers reccomendations I should have at least 69 grams of protein. They told me not to worry about going over but they warned about not getting enough.0 -
Protein Power is an excellent and well researched book! I highly recommend it!0
