So the flu has hit me.... better late than never huh? I feel terrible! Should I stop working out till this passes or should I push through it? I think i may be able to work out for a bit, but I've always been told to rest as much a possible......

No working out! Just rest. Take care of yourself! Lots of fluids, lots of chicken broth specifically. Just get better.
Speaking on that, you can actually do yourself a disservice by working out while ill. Your immune system might simply suppress but not actually get rid of the illness. And then you'll just end up sick again sometime soon.
Remember, your body has to repair itself from a workout. How can it do that if it's also fighting an infection or illness?0 -
do not work out with the flu...except short walks for fresh air...no hard stuff0

i have a rule and actually it's pretty good rule.
If the symptoms are above the shoulders then you can work out and the exercise will actually make you feel better and lessen the symptoms, if it is below the shoulders like in your chest then you need to rest. (by the way this was medical advice given to me...)
Good luck!0 -

Agree with this one totally! Rest if you are too drained, you wouldn't be helping yourself if it would knock you on your butt.0 -
