I don't have an actual recipe, but chili is hearty and freezes very well. Just add the ground turkey in there and go. I have also made mini-meatloafs and froze them to just take out and reheat later in the week. Good luck!0

Here is my turkey Chili recipe:
Serving size is 2 cups, and 350 calories per serving.
3 lbs 90/10 ground turkey
2 cups dry black beans
1 1/2 cups dry kidney beans
1 1/2 cups dry small red beans
1 1/2 cups dry pinto beans
12 cups water, divided
2- 26 oz cans of diced tomatoes
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
3 Tbsp tomato paste
1 medium onion, finely chopped (1 1/2 cups)
1 medium tomato, diced
5 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
6 Tbsp chili powder
3 Tbsp cumin
Sort beans and place into a large bowl. Add 8 cups of water, soak beans in refrigerator for 24 hours.
Place ground beef into a large soup pot (12 quart or larger). Brown ground beef until fully cooked. Place in a wire colander and rinse until water runs clear. Return ground beef to the soup pot.
Add vegetables and spices, and cook for 10 minutes on high heat, stirring often. Add beans (water and all) plus 4 more cups water; stir. Add spices, bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer at least 3 1/2 hours, or until beans are tender.
This chili can be made without the meat or by adding crumbled tofu for vegetarians/vegans.0 -
Even outside of a recipe, you can brown off a couple pounds of ground turkey (seasoned simply with salt & pepper). Freeze it in 1 cup portions and you have something ready to throw into soup, pasta sauce, or easily turn into tacos. Saves a lot of time when it comes to getting dinner on the table.0

I like to make up turkey burgers ahead of time. To a pound of ground turkey, I add 1 beaten egg, and 1/2 cup of pepperidge farm herb stuffing (crushed) and whatever spices I feel like at the time. Mix it all up and form into 4 patties, then freeze. I toss them on my George Foreman grill (sprayed with canola oil), turn once, and they're ready in about 10 minutes.0

I made my first stuffed peppers last weekend and they were awesome!
3 oz of ground turkey
2 Medium peppers (or however many you want to make since your going to freeze them)
1/2 cup of red onion (or a cup, this is all based on your preference)
1/2 cup or cup of your favorite rice
1/4 cup of low fat mozzarella for each individual pepper
1 cup of marinara sauce ( I used giant eagle brand because it's only 50 cal)
Preheat oven to 375*
bake for 45 minutes
take out and put on mozzarella cheese
put in oven for an additional 10 minutes (or until nice and melted)
This was so simple and I loved it. it seems like it's pretty versatile, so experiment and change it up to your liking! Hope this helped! Enjoy!0 -
