Hi

Does anyone have any advise to kick start weightloss which has seemingly plateau'd?
I am trying to lose 24lb in total but have only lost 7lb in the last 6 weeks - I was hoping to have lost on average 2lb a week!! This week I stayed the same.
I am exercising most days as I do a desk job so have to go to the gym.
Should I be eating more than the 1200 MFP has set for me?
I am now feeling hungry most of the time, despite eating a healthy diet, though when I started 6 weeks ago it wasnt too bad on the hunger front!!
Have looked on here & a lot of people seem to be losing at least 2lb a week so I must be doing something wrong!!!
Any advise would be welcome!!
Cheers

  • Your body seems to have grown used to whatever you're doing now. Change it up a bit. Eat a few more calories, do different exercises at the gym to work and build different muscle groups. In essence, throw your body a curveball so it has no choice but to lose weight.

Also, depending on how big you are, and how much you're working out you may NEED more calories. MFP suggests 1200 calories, but if you're bigger you need more. You burn 2,000 calories just living every day- even at a desk job. If you're working out, you definitely need more (e.g., if you run for an hour and burn 600 calories, you should be eating that 1,200 plus the 600 calories- otherwise your body will begin storing food rather than letting it be burned off).

    Good luck!
