Thinking about getting these. Anyone do them? What are your thoughts? Worth the money? Have you seen any results?

Wish I could attend a zumba class; however, it's not possible. So I'm looking to do the next best thing.

  • I take Zumba class once a week throught my Gym (Lifestyle Family Fitness) and that class is worth the membership alone. You get a total body workout. You definitely will see results and your burn between 300 to 800 calories in 60 minutes.

I do love them! I dip in and out though because I like to mix up my workouts. I would say go 'go for it'!

    Good Luck x
  • I took a Zumba class through Community Ed & loved it! Now I'm going to get the Zumba for either the Wii or Xbox Kinect! I've heard good things about them!

I have Zumba DVD's..and really, they bore me. It's just dancing, and moving...you could save your money and just put on a CD with good rhythm and dance around your living room for an hour.

Just my thought. I know some people love it though.

I've been doing the zumba dvds for about a week now. It's definitely the kind of thing where you only get out of it what you put into it. If you just do the basic steps without adding all the hip movement, it's not much of a workout. But I'm finding the more comfortable I get with the basic steps, the more hip movement I can put in, and I definitely work up a sweat! I'm still doing the "beginner" 20-minute routine, but am going to move up to the longer routine tomorrow.
It's actually a fun way to get moving!
  • I just ordered it and am waiting for it to come in the mail. I was doing it from Youtube clips and loved it. I have the whole family doing it with me. I see results.

Zumba is a great way to go and I agree with the person who said you get out of it what you put into it but that is with any workout routine and any eating regimen you do. Some will say it don't work 9x out of 10 they haven't done it long enough or they haven't done it right!!

I love to dance and shake my butt and personally I would do it all the time with my kids in here to music but I have never burned as many calories as I have doing a straight 60mins of Zumba the technique and the structure keeps you going!!

If you do it I guarantee you will see those lbs and inches melting off!!!

Also, stay true to thyself are you the kind of person that can workout to videos and be okay with it some people aren't video kind of people for me I actually rather go to a zumba class then do it at home but I can do the videos too and be satisfied but have to have someone do it with me to do it alone rarely happens!!

I have the dvd's and go to a class weekly...the dvds are decent but yet boring...if you've never been to a live class then maybe they won't be boring for you. I know time and money are always a factor but I would suggest joining a class over purchasing the set.
