Can anyone recommend a good multi-vitamin? Looking for something fairly on the cheap but effective.

I get the chewable ones. They are rated for adults. I don't know if they are the best but I am more likely to take them than the swallow kind, I figure if I don't take them than even the absolute best vitamin won't help me any. I keep them in my desk at work for the days that I forget. The gummy versions are super good too.

It's good to take vitamins with a meal because you have a better chance at absorption when combining with actual vitamins and minerals from food. Take about 30 minutes before you eat.

If you take separate vitamins and minerals (this seems to be better but I'll stick with my one multi):

I use NATURE'S WAY Alive Multivitamin.

I buy 1 bottle with iron and 1 bottle without iron and mix them together (don't want to get to much iron). I also use the vCap as opposed to the tablets because I don't like "pressed pills" as I don't feel they breakdown in the body correctly.

One-a-day womens multivitamins are HUGE. I can only take them now and then because they are still too big when i cut them in half.

Thats why I get chewable multivitamins. I don't know how they compare nutritionally but it might be worth checking for those that have issues swallowing pills.
  • I like herbalife multivitamins. they're really small which is nice and you take them three times a day so that you're body doesn't get an overload all at once and cause a stomach ache
