Ok so I have been running between 2 to 4 miles a day and in the last week my HRM has given me I want to say a rash but its not very rashy just bright red and very dry skin on both sides It looks really bad I put lotion on it but just wondering if anyone else had this problem before

It might be the metal the back of the wristband is made of. Back when I wore a watch, if I got a cheap band I'd get a rash.

I get like that from Latex, is there Latex in the band or on the monitor?

I have actually read in previous posts that the nickel on the back of a body bugg gave someone allergies. It must be something on the back of your HRM or on the band. Try switching to another one.
  • yea its on the chest strap I wouldn't care but it hurts in the shower :)

Are you wearing it too tight? The instructions that came with my polar said you could wear it on the outside of a T-shirt as long as you made sure to wet it down so the sensor could get a reading. That might help.

It might be too tight I do wear it tighter otherwise it starts to fall... I don't think it would work over a tshirt the stupid thing has to be washed like 3 times before it even works once :(

Put some Body Glide inbetween your skin and the monitor. It will still work and will help the rashing.

    I have this issue.
I find putting the sensors under my bra but the transmitter over the front of my bra - sort of tucked- works for me.
    it's nickel
