Hey all!
What are some good upbeat songs/artists to listen to when working out?? I love my music but I believe I should change it around a bit ;)

I use the fastest, most aggressive metal or punk: Suicidal Tendencies, Pennywise, Offspring, older Metallica, stuff like that. I find I move faster without really realizing it because I'm moving to the speed of the music.
  • When someone recommends something that you like...go to pandora.com and create a station based on that song or songs. Pandora will play similar music by other artists. Then after you have a grouping of music you like...jot it down and go to itunes and download them. Good luck....this is assuming you have an i=pod or some type of digital music player. Also you can create a station and type the word exercise to find other stations that people have created containing Exercise music.

    Good luck.

  • I listen to techno and house music when on the treadmill and when I'm doing my circuit training....rock and metal.

Yes Pandora is awesome but I like the Black Eyed Peas, Prodigy and Deadmau. Hope that helps :)
  • I listen to The Black Keys mostly!
  • Not Afraid by Eminem is a big one for me as far as motivation. There is a part that goes
"I'm not afraid to take a stand
    Everybody come take my hand
We'll walk this road together, through the storm
    Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you're not alone
Holla if you feel that you've been down the same road

And I just can't keep living this way
So starting today, I'm breaking out of this cage
I'm standing up, Imma face my demons
I'm manning up, Imma hold my ground
I've had enough, now I'm so fed up
Time to put my life back together right now

Rock, Metal, Industrial and rap for the most part.

I love starting off almost every workout with March of Mephisto by Kamelot.

Another favorite during a workout is Soldier by Eminem.

A few others on my playlist are; Rammstein, Rob Zombie, Otep, Marilyn Manson, Eths and Arch Enemy.

I don't usually listen to music much while doing cardio, it gets me pumped while lifting weights though.

i love listening to super mash bros! you can download their stuff for free off of their website
  • GirlTalk's all day album is free and could best be described as "four decades of music dumped in a blender and pulsed".

M.O.P. mixed over Miley Cyrus has to be heard to be truly appreciated.
