I workout in the evening and usually burn about 300 to 400 calories. The problem is that I hate trying to eat them all on top of my dinner calories. I'm usually pretty hungry when I'm done so I'm ok with eating a bigger dinner but sometimes I have about 800 calories to eat thats way too much for me to eat, I usually come home from the gym have dinner then about three hours later go to bed. There not a lot of time to eat all those calories any ideas?

Plan your workouts ahead of time (sounds like you have an idea how much you burn) and eat more throughout the day! Being under by 800 is WAY too much, 100-200 is no big deal

If you are pretty sure you'll be getting a workout in you can put it in early -- just like you can do with meals, put them in early for planning purposes -- and then eat a bigger lunch or a snack before your workout.

My husband works out in the evening (I work out in the morning) and he just spreads his calories out over the day. It helps encourage him to complete his exercises because if he doesn't then he doesn't have enough for an ample dinner!

i'd suggest a protein filed snalck right after you work out. it's best not to eat 2-3 hours before going to bed and if you have something protein filled then it will aid towards any muscle repair.

Try adding calories to meals earlier in the day?
