High Protein, Low Carb, Low Fat, Low Cal

Hello,

I have been making it a point to include more protein in my meals/snacks. What are some of your favorite protein sources? The higher the protein while keeping carbs, calories and fat at bay is what I am looking for. Thank you for all your suggestions!

Sounds like a fabulous plan, one that I stick by.

Lots of lean mean--my favorite is cooking my own turkey, slicing it up and nibbling on it all day long.

Egg beaters - sorry, but I love them things.

Low fat cheese--- perfect on the eggs.

    Peanuts

Eggs and Zone Bars are staples for me for this reason. Cheese sticks work well as snacks for the same reason. Nuts, and peanut butter.

I worry about carbs/sugar more than fat. Carbs/sugar make me hungry and create cravings, but fat does not. So I can eat a snack like cheese or nuts that has some fat in it, and control portions and not feel hungry later, but if I snack on a protein with carbs or sugar -- cheese on crackers, say -- I can virtually guarantee it won't satisfy me for long :-(

I found snack size almond bags at Walmart. Around 160 calories.Perfect snack to keep in your purse. I can't be trusted with a whole container!
And cheese sticks, but I have to hide them from my kids!
