Has anyone taken these? What was your experience? I have just started taking them - am sceptical even though a friend swears by them, and I'm interested in what other people think. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

There is no magic pill. Oh how I wish, but only hard work makes the weight go away.

With you on that one - if only there were a magic pill or potion I wouldn't need to be on MFP. You got to do it the hard way and change your eating habits I'm affraid. good luck
  • I'm doing the calorie counting and exercise thing too, these claim to boost the amount of calories you burn during a workout. I never ever thought I would buy any pills like this, but I have heard so many good things about them that I thought I shoudl give them a go and see if they can help speed my results up a bit.
  • Talk to the good old MD. But think about...

The FDA has approved on Alli for weight loss. I have never tried it but everyone who I have talked to says the fat melts away. The idea is that you take the pill with your meal and it prevents your body from absorbing some of the fat. You are requrired to allow only a small portion of fat past your mouth, otherwise the pill makes you poo without knowing you have pooed. Yes, I am not joking. With Alli, if you eat a cheeseburger you will poo your pants and not know it. On the flip side, if you do what you are supposed to do and only eat 15 grams of fat or less with each meal then the fat melts away and your pants remain clean. All my sources recommend to tote an extra change of clothes with you every where just in case. So weigh the odds for yourself on that one. This system costs about $45 per month. You might get it a little cheaper on amazon. This is the only weight loss drug that won't cause you to gain everything back by not taking the pill. Fear of pooing in public tends to train people to avoid fat. Also, you can be on this system for a very long time without building immunity and no documented adverse side afftects. Personally I am to chicken to try this. For me the consequences are a bit to steep.

Additonally, I have a friend who swears by the B12 shots. B12 is known to boost your metabolism and turn up the energy. She spends around $90 per month at the clinic she goes to and has lost 50 pounds without working out. The con on this one is that everytually your body gets used to the B12 and you require more to maintain what you have, also the second you go off the shots you blow up like a balloon. So again weigh the pros and cons on EVERYTHING.
