Rewarding yourself

There have been lots of people who talk about rewarding themselves with a non-food items or ideas after they lose a certain amount.
I have been thinking about my reward after 15-20 pounds... and this is what I came up
A dance class!
I'm either thinking of
Salsa for fitness or a belly dancing class. I'm leaning toward salsa b/c my husband likes to dance, and he could do it with me.
I'm excited, because not only will it be healthy exercise but it will also be FUN!!!
Please share some of your own ideas!

I like the idea of rewarding myself with new workout clothes.0

That sounds fun! I would love to take swing dance classes (if there are any in my area) when I lose enough weight to feel confident doing it! lol But this weekend I am going to reward myself with some new exercise clothes! I am SO excited to get some new stuff :bigsmile:0

I love the mini goals! They make the long haul seem not so long and unattainable. I put mine in my signature line... kinda 'out there' for everyone to see. It feels good to add "Met xx/xx/xx" after one of them.0

Instead of rewards that cost money, I try to make my mini goals centered around an upcoming event--and then event becomes the reward.0

I like to get groupons for things like new shoes, a night to the opera, health-friendly restaurants, billiards, etc. and hang them on the fridge. Whenever I accomplish one of the goals on my list I get to treat myself to one of the groupon coupons. If I don't accomplish something in time, I just give the groupon to a friend and make them promise they will gush on and on about how awesome *insert activity here* was.0

I like everybody's ideas.
Luv2ash, I like how you do it. Unfortunately, I don't really have any cemented upcoming events. The best I've got is MAYBE going to our cousin's wedding in California in Sept. But that's only a maybe and Sept. is a long ways off.0 -
I absolutely LOVE designer apparel, but buy most of my clother at Target and Old Navy. Don't get me wrong, I dress really nice and believe you can do so on a budget. However, when I lose all my weight and get down to a size that I feel I can maintain easily I'm going to buy myself a classic designer little black dress. I can keep it forever and always use it as a guide. If my little black dress is tight, then it's time to lose weight.0

I love swing dancingI've been dancing for almost 3 years, so if you ever have any questions about it, you know who to talk to
