It's hard to see why this might be happening without knowing what you are actually eating throughout the day. I would think, perhaps, you're crashing after carb or sugar intake maybe. Or perhaps it's hunger provided by inactivity or boredom? Or maybe you just need another snack? I would suggest drinking a bottle of water before each meal and with snacks. Water will help fill you up and maybe save you extra calories you can "spend" later in the evening. Again, try a bottle of water first, always.0

a couple of ideas. 1. set your calorie limit a bit higher. 2. eat ONLY low calorie snacks at night. i also love to eat at night, but if you keep your snack to about 100 calories, you can have at least a couple. i like to eat popcorn (3 cups= 100 calories) hot cocoa and low fat ice cream bars. also, try cutting yourself off at 9pm and drink tea!0

I have the same issues. It's just a matter of self control...It also depends on how much you exercise. I don't get as hungry on days I don't work out....but every other day I am starving....If you find the magic bean that causes women to not get hungry at night let me know haha. I also think its almost all mental. Night commercials are all about eating processed sugary foods that are bad for you....just stay strong and try to eat a bigger dinner with more protein.
Also fyi cottage cheese helps you feel full longer...I mix some cottage cheese with some raw almond butter and sprinkle cinnamon and its a good, healthy, and filling snack!0 -
i was going to say the same thing about the food. Now that I am eating less carbs & more protein & (natural) fat... i'm rarelyl hungry & forcing myself to eat a little something to avoid being starving at my next meal & over indulging... stay away from refined sugar, flour, and just carbs in gen'l. it affects your system to make you want more & you over eat. if you have to eat some carbs, do natural carbs... like potatoes or rice. the more it looks like it does when it's picked or grown... the better it is. your cravings will go away after a few wks.0

Maybe you can try and snack on veggies and fruit that have little or no calories and they will help you feel satisfied.0

I did the exact same thing today. My nighttime eating is usually the result of boredom or "rewarding" myself for doing well all day (I know this is contradictory). I felt awful until my Mom said "Tomorrow is another day." Remember that one day of going over your calorie limit doesn't mean the journey is over and all your hard work is for naught. As long as it doesn't become a habit, it's okay if it happens once in awhile. I have found that fiber bars are tasty and keep me full for a long time. Also, as some others said, fruit, veggies, and protein will help keep you full!0
