Could kick myself

Hi all
This is my first post in here. I've been doing this weight loss journey for nearly 3 weeks now. The first 2 weeks were great! I lost 11lb. And now this week, because I hurt my knee last week and been taking it easy this week, I have gained 2lb Really upset by this, as I was doing so well. And then 3 days of eating slightly over my limit has gained me 2lb.
The problem is, I am still going over my sugar. I am not eating complete unhealthy foods, I have allowed myself 3 bags of buttons this week as I always crave sweet stuff this week. Other women will know what I am talking about. But even if I only have a yogurt and banana, I go over my sugar. So frustrating. Though, I admit, it is a lot less than I was eating.
I just don't see the point in doing this if I am going to lose weight, hurt myself, and put it all back on. Motivation today is seriously lacking. I also think, that although I have reduced my portion sizes, I am still eating the wrong things. I just don't know how to change it. Not made of money. Can't buy fresh stuff all the time. Think I'll stick to salads and fresh meat from now on til I hit goal.

Hey there .,.. don't give up lady! You're doing wonderfully! 11 lbs! Then you gained two ... have you considered that because it's 'that week' you would have a natural body water gain? We can gain between 5-7 lbs during 'that week!" Keep up the great work! Next week .. after the week is over ... you'll see a loss again!
Hang in there!

I wish it was that reason, but "that week" isn't til next week. I just crave sugar leading up to it. Hopefully, it's just coz I had a full bladder when I weighed this morning, and it's because I went over for 3 days. Next week, I shall get back on track! I have to. Going to Florida in October and have 77lb to lose before then0

Week 3 has always been like this for me. Do about 11 or 12 lb in the first two weeks and then start going up and down and that's the point that I usually give up. I think its probably because the initial loss is mainly water and this then fluctuates. Stick at it though, because the loss should start to level out. I had exactly the same issue this time, but i'm now in week 7 and have hit a 28 lb loss today. It's also nice to know that every pound I lose now is going to be fat and not water. With regards to what you are eating, I personally think you have to do what works for you. If you can't stick to a diet that excludes chocolate then build it in. It may not be perfect but as long as it's better than what you were doing before then it's a start on the right path.0

Are you drinking enough water? I find my weight goes up slightly the days I dont exercise as I tend not to drink as much ans therefore retain water, (a habit I must break)0

I also gained 2lb this week, all of it seemingly from one day of sushi+restaurant. It cant be just it. I will stay patient and figure this out. Im heading to the gym today for the first time so Im sure that will help.0

I try to drink the 8 glasses a day, but I very rarely feel thirsty, and have to remind myself to drink. Hopefully next week I shall get back on track with the weight loss. If not, I need to take a look at my diet again and change things.
Typical day for me is :
2 soft boiled eggs and toast for breakfast
soup, skips and yogurt for lunch
and then dinner which is usually chicken, veg and potatoes, or stir fry or something similar. Nothing fried or oven cooked.0
