Ok, so i started the couch to 5k challenge today...i did 60 seconds of jogging followed by 120 seconds of walking (i couldnt do 90 seconds, i was so out of breath!) BUT i managed to keep it up for 25 minutes. i worked myself so hard i had that nausea feeling, which to me i always a sign of a good work out!
Anyway, has anyone else recently started? have you found it has gotten easier for you?

I started C25k last year, but injured my heel and stopped, and never got back into it.
I started again in January and I'm up to week 3, but I haven't been out now for a week (oops). Going back out today to get back into it before it gets left to long and I find some excuse not to do it.
I find it great, and feel so great when I'm out there
Does anyone else jog with a jogging buggy/stroller?0 -
Yes, I just started back this week, after a year lay off. I'm pretty much starting over. I can tell you from experience that it does get easier, and the initial soreness you might have will subside as well. Just be sure to do a good warm up and cool down. Are you on a structured training plan, or are you just going for it?
Either way, just be careful and listen to your body, it won't lie to you--your pride will. Trust me, I know. But, the main thing is to have fun with it.0 -
im starting for real on the 25th March..i keep doing my own version but i think its time to break out of the house and try it for real now!!0

Yeah im just going for it and following the website which tells you what to do week by week. i just have really bad pain in my shoulders when i get jogging...i think its because i didn't warm up my shoulders, which i know now i should have done now and i will be doing next time0 -
Hi,
I was wondering what the C25K was that people are talking about, and I just looked it up! I walk a lot but didn't think I could run. I'm starting this today! Maybe I'll be up for a half-marathon by my 50th B-day next year....
Regards and happy running!, David0 -
Well I didn't get out on Friday, but went out again today. Only managed 5.5minutes in total, out of the 9 minutes running I should have done (W3D1), but at least I went out, better than sitting on my bum, eh?
Hopefully be back on form by Wednesday when I'm due out again.0 -
I am in week 3... I consider myself quite fit and still find the program challenging! You kind of get more used to it, but good music keeps me going.
I do run quite fast in the run parts and usually go a little over the 20 minutes. ıt is such a good feeling to stick with the program, though, and it builds up well.
Stick with it! You can adapt the program to suit your needs, build up when you feel you are ready.0 -
