Hey all,

I bought a pull up bar from Zellers, but I am gonna have to return it because it is one that you have to screw brackets in between your door...not very practical.

Do they sell ones that you don't need to screw, I was under the impression that pull up bars clamp in between the door, am I crazy? Thanks for any tips.

They do have ones that clamp, and ones that hang on the trim. Walmart sells one, and there is one at Beachbody.com as well.

I hate having to return things, so I'm not crazy. This was the Sport Line one (screwing to door), so don't buy that one!!

The Brand Golds Gym makes one with out skrews or bracets. I got mine at **** sportng good
  • I have one that screws into the door frame. The door still shuts and everything and the screw holes are pretty small, so if you're renting you can patch them very easy when you leave. I don't know if they sell cramp ones or if I'd trust it. Think about the amount of pressure it would need to hold? I couldn't imagine using it and then it slipping out, that would suck

agreed...what are your experience with clamp ones guys??

We just sold the house and it has already been repaired and my dad would throw a fit if I dare screw them in! Even my boyfriend's mom won't do it in her house and she's a fitness instructor!

Either Beachbody.com or get an Iron Gym Extreme. It goes over the door and has several different hand positions.

I have not had any issues other than some of the color rubbing off on the white door frame trim. I used mine through 2 rounds of P90x, so a lot of pull ups and chin ups
