I was going to add CoQ10 and Fish Oil supplements to my daily regimen. The CoQ10, no problem. The Fish Oil capsules? They are HUGE. :noway: I tried to gag one down, but ended up sputtering H20 all over myself. They may be benefical for your heart, but it's no good if I can't get it down! If anyone has a suggestion, let me know. Thanks!

Schiff Mega Red krill oil is a super great supplement that comes in a once a day tiny pill form.

Thank you! :flowerforyou: Now that you mention it, I've seen commercials for that, but just didn't pay attention to it much. Will check that out.

They make me burpy! I just bought flax seed oil, the alternative with the same stuff. I am hoping that will be better!

I find that they are easier to get down with certain liquids than they are with others. Water doesn't provide as much lubrication as something like tomato juice or V8. I take all my pills with 6 - 8 oz of V8 every morning...

You can also get Fish oil liquid form.. I prefer the pills more but liquid isn't too bad I believe they now have a lemon flavor.

I would definitely rather eat 2-3 serves of oily fish per week (salmon, mackerel, fresh tuna, sardines) than choke down several large tablets to get the same benefit. It doesn't have to be fish for dinner 3 times per week, it could be canned fish on a sandwich or in a salad for example (although tuna doesn't count if it's canned).

Generally, I would only recommend the pills to someone who doesn't eat fish. Hope that helps :)
  • They are quite massive! But if I can do it you can :) (I wasn't even able to swallow a normal sized tablet until about 2 years ago!). What I do is I actually place the capsule with my fingers at the VERY back of my tongue and then take a swig of water. They usually go down quite easily for me if I put them in the right spot.
