I can't do cardio without music, I need something to take my mind away from the fact that im sweating like a pig lol.
I usually start up with my favourite songs (I lovedancehall reggae and hiphop) but switch up to trance and remixes when Im closer to the end, the quicker beat pushes me harder when Im tired and feel like giving in.

What songs do you listen too? Or is there a motivational song u like? "The New Workout Plan" by Kanye West is really funny.

I just downloaded a great mix CD (The workout Mix 2011: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Workout-Mix-2011/dp/B004FBUNV6)
if any of you need some new upbeat tunes, it's a great choise :)

I'm the same - I need music on. But I don't like the standard 'MTV fodder' that the gym always has on. I have my iPod with a specific gym playlist packed with Arcade Fire, Weezer, Foo Fighters, QOTSA and some classic rock. Good pounding hard rhythms!

I listen to Deep Forest (world beat I guess?), and the soundtracks to: The Matrix, Underworld, and Fight Club.

I have a playlist on my iPod that I listen to but I recently purchased the "Zumba" CD's so I'm watching them while I'm on the treadmill, just to get a feel for what I'll be doing. I'm planning to start it this week.

Like my music like I like my women, loud, hard, and fast. All metal. Don't care who it's by or where they're from, if it's metal, it's good.
