Can 30DS take the place of strength training?

I'm really not a fan of lifting weights at the gym, so I thought that giving the DVD a try would be a nice change. Is this DVD the equivalent of strength training at the gym?

    I have no idea what 30DS is, but any resistance exercise can easily take the place of lifting weights. Push-ups, pull-ups, sit ups, lunges, squats, etc. are all strength training exercises.

    I would say yes but thast is my opinion....I love jillian micheal workouts get u results

    I do shred it with weights. It's a good core and lower body workout, but I don't feel like it does as much for my upper body.

    Yes! I use 5 lb dumbbells when doing 30DS and I actually feel more sore when I do that than when I lift at the gym! Like she says, the combination of 3 minutes strength training, 2 minutes cardio, and 1 minute abs really is very effective all around, including strength training!
