I am 6.1, 176lbs which is normal for my height...But i feel BIG, just BIG..
I used to think I have a medium frame, but for the past week ive been drinking milk and felt i was getting bigger :S:S:S
Today, i checked if milk makes your bones bigger, and it was yes..How bigger will I get..? I went to the bathroom burst out crying..I feel depressed really really.. I hate my body, and everythng in it.
I dont know what to do anymore..Plus when i do frame test and wrap my fingers around my wrist, my fingers overlap..so it means i have a small frame. Yet, i LOOK BIG!
Lord what will I do...

176 pounds is perfect for a height of 6'1"!!!
Actually milk makes your bones more dense and prevents osteoporosis, but it doesn't necessarily make them "bigger."
It sounds to me like it's all in your mind. Perhaps you have a problem with your height?? I've known a lot of tall girls who think they are "big" because of their tall stature. You look great in your picture.0 -
Adults don't grow by drinking milk.
Talk to your doctor about your size and shape. Weight charts don't tell the whole story. I'm 5'10 and this morning I weighed in at 194 lbs. According to my BMI I need to lose another 20 lbs. I personally can't see how that is possible. I'm mostly happy with my appearance.
How do you feel, not when looking in a mirror, but generally, If you feel fit and can do whatever, with your family or friends then you are probably just fine.
Everyone is built different, don't be so hard on yourself.0 -
bones can't get bigger only denser. ur a perfect weight for your height, wish I was a bit taller.0

I'm with you - I'm just under 6' and 75kg (165). We can't change our height and our weight is fine. Big skinny someone once called me. I forget how big I am until I stand next to someone in front of a mirror. Neither of us are overweight for our height - we just have to accept our frames. I'm sorry you are so depressed about it. You look great in the photo.0

Awww honey. I'm 5'10, so not quite as tall as you but I've definitely had those types of days. It's mostly what inspired me to actually start taking this healthy lifestyle thing seriously.
I think I need taller friends. Whenever I'm out with my tall guy friends I feel like a million bucks. But throw in my 5'5 skinny little sister into the mix or some of my short friends and suddenly I feel chunky.
Try doing something for you - get your hair cut and styled, or buy some nice underwear (it makes me feel all girly) :blushing: I find the girlier I feel the less I obsess about being 'bigger' than the shorties!!
And I dont know about those Internet frame size indicators. I have different results depending on what site I visit. Some of the tests just don't fit for us tall gals!0 -

Exactly! I'm verging on too thin in my upper body, NOT so on my lower - actually someone in the gym today asked me if I was eating enough. But by most measures I am supposed to be 69kg ... I'd be dead.0 -

You are not tall and fat...you are TALL and BEAUTIFUL!!! Girl, if I only had your height...I am 5'9...would love to be taller...I know you are young and it may feel you are big and I'm sure you are alot taller than alot of your girl and guy friends but looking at your profile pic you look about perfect to me....so please don't hate your body, have you listened to the new Lady Gaga song yet>>>well come on girl, you are perfect just the way god made you...so put a pretty smile on that face of yours and walk high about the rest!!0 -
You are wonderfully and fearfully made by God. You are beautiful they way you are. The media gives us high and unattainable standard of the ideal body image. You look beautiful in your picture. Its more of a psychological thing. think positive reinforcement. You are what you think you are. Think beautiful, confident and healthy and you will see a change in your outlook.
Have a nice day:flowerforyou:0 -
Thank you so much, for all the support
thankyou, i feel much better!0 -
we are our own worst critics!! going by the picture you have on here, i don't think you look big at all!!! just another common case of judging ourselves too harshly.0

I'm right there with you girl! I'm 6'4" and 187lbs. This is the thinnest I've ever been as an adult and sometimes I feel like I need to lose a ton more. Sometimes I like being tall, but most of the time it's just hard. Hard to find clothes that fit, hard to find shoes that fit, hard when you envy those teeny tiny girls and their teeny tiny jeans, and hard when you're trying to find a date that you don't tower over. The past few years I've learned to love myself so much more than I did when I was a teenager, but at times I see other girls that look so cute and pretty and I turn green with envy. I usually get over it pretty quick because it's really not a healthy way to feel all the time. You've just got to try and embrace what you are...BEAUTIFUL. We're all meant to be different.0

embrace your gift, you have something few women have, work it!!! I have a beautiful sister-in-law who has your height, well a beautiful neice too, come to think of it, and they consider themselves Amazon queens. My munchkin status gets me no points in my world . When you finish honing and toning you won't care about vertical inches, believe me.0

Being bigger goes along with being taller. I'm a 5'9 guy. A 6'1 woman will have basically the same size bones as me. That's normal! Look at the women your own height. You'll notice that they're about the same size in their frame as you. A lot of guys don't care how tall a girl is. Ideally I'd like a girl to be close to my height, but taller or shorter is ok, too.
The answer to being happy with one's body for both men and women seems to be lifting. I kid you not. Hopefully you're lifting!0
