Scales

I need recommendations for new scales as I am really fed up with erratic readings. I have 2 sets at the moment one WW branded digital and one Hanson brand mechanical - they are both erratic - I take a reading and step off the scale then step right back on again and get a different reading - the difference can be 2 -3 pounds.
So can anyone recommend a scale that will weigh consistently preferable from someone with a similar weight (250 - 300 range).
Thanks
J

I recommend the Siltec GS1. It was a bit pricey compared to scales I have had in the past but it is very accurate and can handle the higher weights. I think it goes up to 400lbs. It also looks very nice.0

Thanks - but these do not seem to be available in the UK - not on Amazon UK anyway -0

I recently got the Precision Plus by Eat Smart. It is very consistent as I was having the same problem you are reporting with my old Taylor brand digital scale. Here is the link from Amazon...not sure if it's also on Amazon UK though.

I use Seca large screen display manual scales. I've looked them up on Amazon and the display only show kgs and not the same as mine which show pounds. So I looked on the American site and they display the weight in pounds. They are very accurate but there is something funny going off here in this country. Our scales display kg's, our presenters are stating kilometres instead of miles and our temperatures are celcius not fahrenheight. We are being forced to lose our roots, mind you, I don't miss pounds shillings and pence.0

well said. I never weigh in kilos.0

I have an analogue Salter. I work in kilos because the first weight obsessive I knew was my French exchange. Now I rather enjoy mixing the two, eg my goal weight was 55kg, but I've dropped under 8 1/2 stone. It has played up in the past, but is good enough for me for now, though having lived in Japan I do miss the body fat ones.0
