Hey all,

I'm a property claims adjuster and just found out that I will be going to Houston, TX to help out after Ike is gone and it's safe to deploy to the area.

I'll be gone for 2 weeks, hopefully I will have time during the day to log my calories. I'm sure that I will get plenty of excersise while down there just running around. I just don't want to lose my focus!!!- scare me!

Oh-- there is NOWAY that I'm eating out everynight. they will put us up in a hotel that has a kitchen in the room. I plan on cooking most of my meals, and packing snacks and lunch.... the good thing...no scale for 2 weeks, so this will be a test for me! LOL

MRE's.....some are really GOOD, we had some during Charlie/Ivan etc....just looking at the calories is VERY scary, they're made for men who are expending tons of energy.

But we found that when you're working your tail off its not so difficult to maintain or lose...the problem is when you get home and still wan to eat that way!!! 'Sides....sometimes you're just too busy/tired to eat. Unless they stick you behind a desk:grumble: . Thank goodness my typing skills aren't very good:tongue:

( Jamerz and I volunteer with Red Cross...we're sitting out this round but will be available come October)

Stay safe...be good and come home soon!:flowerforyou:

Looks like it could be at least Tuesday before I leave. Just found out that the local Houston Office ( which is huge) will be closed at least until then due to the amt storm damage, and power issues.
  • We live about 45 minutes from Galveston Island and we got the heck outta there. We're waiting for power so we can go back. Thank God our home was not damaged.
