So I want to take my boyfriend out to this fondue restaurant for his birthday. However I don't want to completely go over my calories for the day. How can I plan my breakfast and lunch so the day isn't a total disaster food wise.
I guess I'm asking what would you all eat during the day if you knew you were going to have something really fatty for dinner?

I agree some cereal for breakfast, maybe with fruit and salad with lean protein for lunch. You may want to have another salad or some veggies right before you go out so that your not starving when you get to the restaurant. AND don't forget to drink lots and lots of water.0

you need protein and fat to keep you full so don't skip too much on those during the day. Avoid bread, rice and pasta and instead eat salad and munch on things like celery during the day to keep you full. then ENJOY! Also, do a killer workout to add some calories to your diet.0

1 egg and some high fiber fruit for B/F, or, I don't usually go with egg whites, but perhaps just to cut down the cals this once, a bunch of egg whites instead, and a really big salad no dressing (try lemon juice!) and no crutons if you can stand it for lunch. Lots of water to take the edge off being hungry, and maybe just a little something to snack on here and there, even better if it's something like a banana.
also, if I've been good generally speaking, I don't worry too much about going way over on a special occasion. remember, you have up to 500 calories you can also "go over" before you will be "over" your true calorie intake for the day (just don't deficit for the day).
Also, if you can get any sort of workout in do it (though you might need to eat a little to cover the energy for that), or maybe get one in in the morning or tomorrow, but don't eat it back, use today's overage to cover that.0 -
i would slim fast for lunch and breakfast and snack on a light baby bell and fruit. that would be 300 cals and the rest for tasty treats.0

eggs or oatmeal for breakfast (skip the sugary cereal!) and an apple and salad (3 cups) with sliced chicken breast for lunch.
enjoy! i love fondue!0 -
PS, DO NOT scrimp on your meal tonight! Are you going to The Melting Pot? SO good! Not to mention expensive - I'd not not eat if I were shelling out that sort of dough for dinner! I think we got the smores chocolate course and it was SO freaking good! Definitely don't be all "ooh, I can't have any more - too many calories". If anything, save cals in the beverage of choice and go all out on the fondue! I am sure it is a very special treat so you can justify it!0
