Going beyond the iPhone App to be more accountable

Hello, Everyone in MFP land! I have been using the phone app for a week now and have learned ALOT about my eating habits already. I have struggled on and off with my weight since I was 15 years old. I'm now 35 years old and have moved from underweight, overweight and obese within the last 10 years. Some of my weight is from medication but I also contribute the weight gain to emotional eating, especially when I feel overwhelmed.
Anyway, the reason I have decided to introduce myself is because I had a lapse in eating two nights ago when I was working on school work for my Master's. The moment I sat down to do homework (makes me really anxious!) I ate the ENTIRE LARGE HERSEY DARK CHOCOLATE BAR! I mean, I was at my calorie limit and ate the whole thing...this is the kind of stuff I just can't figure out sometimes.
I would love to meet other people that struggle with this compulsion to eat junk when it really an emotional thing.

i was am the same way but remember if you don't have it than you can't eat it. i know... but works for me..
i also eat more than i should and log it in right before i go food shopping so i feel bad and don't buy the junk.0 -
Actually, your self-reply to eating does make sense to me. I will definitely try that! I think just seeing the calories on my diary is helping alot with the eating, however, I do have those moments of weakness.
I'm going good shopping today so I will revisit my chocolate bar diary. Good thing is that I did add it to the diary even when I didn't want to!0
