I've been on here for about two months, lost a total of 15 pounds. I noticed that while I'm getting thinner, I'm still pretty flabby. I workout about 4 times a week for about 40 to 60 minutes, I usually do about 20 minutes on the ellipitical and 20 to 30 minutes of racquetball. Any advice?

Maybe add some strength/toning exercises into your workout plan. I lost inches and started toning up a bit more when I added some in to my routine.

Are you doing any strength training? That can make a LOT of difference! Try to do at least two days of strength training a week (with weights or a stretch band for upper body and squats, lunges, and weights for lower body. Good luck!

I totally agree with doing some weight training. You are losing the weight but you are not toning what is there after its lost (if that makes sense) you really need to try and do strength training 3-4 times a week. nothing major just enough to get your muscles started

I haven't added weigh training yet because I'm not really sure where to start. I got to a gym but when I look at the weigh machines I become overwhelmed. I guess I will have to just jump in and try it, thanks for the advice.

Why not ask a member of staff to give you an induction to free weights and show you some exercises?

Or have a look on here...

Click on the body part you want to work on and watch the little videos about how the moves are executed.

Would be preferable if someone could instruct and spot you, but maybe just for your own learning.

Sounds like you need to be doing strength training and not as much cardio, if that is what you're doing.
