Trying to add banana to my food log and see many where one ounce is equal to 90calories! I know that can't be right because 4 ounces of a banana does not equal 360 calories. Then there are are listings where it says med, 115g, is 105calories

Other sites say bananas around 118grams are 105 calories.

So, what is the correct amount for one ounce banana?

Thanks

A banana is roughly 105-110 calories. I don't eat them by the ounce.

    http://www.banana.com/nutritional.html

One large banana, about 9 inches in length, packs 602 mg of potassium and only carries 140 calories.

    * approximately 25 calories in each ounce or 28g of edible banana.

Answer: 30 g = 1.05821 oz. I used to weigh mine out but the subtle difference in calories in different sizes made it pointless. Unless the banana is really small or really huge, medium should do just fine.

Oh Dear... I just looked up my EVOO and found out it's 120 / Tbsp. I was undercounting my salad dressing. Good thing / Bad thing...

Marie! Don't be afraid of those calories! EVOO is a healthy fat and very good for you. Work it in when you can (now that you know the calories) but don't give it up. It is heart healthy. That's what you want to achieve.....a healthy and balanced diet....so make the calories you DO consume nutritious ones..... and EVOO is nutritious! :)
