Ok, so when people say they are increasing their calories from 1200 to 1500 does that mean the net amount or is that with exercise? If I burn 500 cals a day and want to increase my calories from 1200 to 1500 does that mean I am really eating 2,000 calories (minus the 500 from exercise) or that I should eat 1,000? I'm confused. Thanks!

They generally mean their net calories. So yes, if you want to increase your net from 1200 to 1500, and if you typically burn 500 per day with exercise, then you'd be eating 2000 calories total.0

mfp automaqtically takes the calories off so yes you would be eating them.0

i go by net calories, sort of. i don't "eat back" ALL of my exercise calories, but i do eat some so that my net calories are a minimum of 1200 (my calorie goal is 1310). i don't always make that though if i exercise a lot that day.0
