Love the app for this program, exactly what I needed to keep track of what goes into my mouth! I don't always have time to write it down or get online, but the phone is always with me.
Alas, I'm about to embark on a three week trip to Hong Kong and Thailand, and I'm frustrated by this and thrilled by it too! I mostly eat vegetarian, maybe 80-90 % vegetarian really, and meat on occasion, but no pork or beef.
Love Asian/Thai food too! But the more I read about being over there, the more I realize it is going to be a big challenge for me not to gain weight. Here, I take apples, pears, tangerines, bananas, kiwi's, grapefruit, strawberries or blueberries, sometimes 3 or 4 of these to snack on all day, then I also always have sliced cucumber and celery sticks and wedges of purple cabbage and sometimes almonds that I've soaked in water. I seem to need to gnaw on stuff all day so those things keep me out of trouble for the most part. I try to mix it up every week so I don't get bored. I often eat an egg or two for breakfast or an avocado with Italian dressing mashed on some seedy bread for breakfast with a piece of fruit. Dinners are like most people eat. People I work with say I eat healthier than anyone they know! But I need to lose a good 70 lbs! Go figure!
I love to find new healthy things to eat and try and new ways to fix things so I'd love to exchange healthy food ideas with folks.
Hoping this program will help me pay attention to HOW MUCH I'm eating even though it is healthy stuff, and probalby more than anything, my biggest issues is having a very sedentary job. I sit at a desk all day long!
The thing I'm concerned about on my trip, is that it is advised not to eat fresh raw veggies and fruits and not to drink the water!
I can find a lot of vegetarian fare there I'm sure of, but it will all have to be cooked and it seems like everything is loaded with rice or noodles, which I can't eat much of due to the carbs. Anyone who has traveled there have suggestions or reassuring experiences with food there, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Also, I'd love to have some companions as I work towards my goal of losing weight. I'm starting with workable goals, so for the moment, my goal is to lose 25lbs. I will reset it after I lose that. I feel too overwhelmed to say I'm going to lose 70lbs!
One final thing, I'm hoping to find ways to tone up. I hate the fact that as I lose weight, I see lots of waggling loose skin, and it is very unmotivating! I don't want surgery, but I would like to find out ways to tone up whats left once I lose the weight.

I am Asian and rice is what starts my family's day. I still eat them but I watch my portions now. I think the key to right diet is limiting portions and a good amount of exercise almost daily.0
