so last night i went out and played ball something i havent done in months. this is after dropping nearly 30 lbs and completing my first round of p90x. i went out there feeling like the old marius instead feeling like old marius lol. i noticed my endurance was alot better, i was able to follow through on my shot alot better jump higher etc.. now even as i'd gained weight i was able to keep my athleticism to a degree, but last night it was much much better. my coworker told me that it didnt look like i hadnt played in over 6 months and honestly it felt like i had been playing everyday.. because of my work schedule i dont know when next time i'll get to play but i cant wait. while i am a tad bit sore today, i remember when i would play once a week months ago the next day i'd always be terribly sore to the point of barely being able to move and usually shortly after playing would have a bad headache. not today

I can't wait to be like that. My goal is to play b-ball & run the hurdles like I did in college. I might not be as fast, but I want my "ups' back!!

    Congrats to you!!!

Having a good BP, good cholesterol levels, healthy BMI.......they are all good incentives to lose weight & exercise. But to be able to do activities we enjoy and live life to the fullest is awesome too! Congrats on your NSV! :flowerforyou:

I have actually been playing basketball during my weight loss and I notice the difference almost every week. The last time I played, I definitely had more burst, more vertical, and more endurance. I got more rebounds, loose balls, and more hustle plays.

For whatever reason, sports drives me to do things simple vanity can't. I can burn 600-900 i 40 minutes of full court basketball where I'm just pushing myself hard core. Partially, one of the reasons I want to lose the weight I am losing is so that I WILL be faster and can jump higher.
