if I make my own salsa, how long do you think it will last? I would like to make a bunch of it, but not if it's going to spoil quickly.

My husband cans salsa and it last almost a year. Cause we eat alot of it. Unopened they should last a couple of years maybe.

If you put it into sealed jars, it will last for years (barring any problems with the seal and air getting into the salsa)!

I love my grandma's homemade salsa!

Who says it is going to last? *gobbles up!*
  • We can ours,so it stays fresh for awhile. As long as the seal isn't broken on the jars, they last for a few months. Hope this helps.

I guess I should've clarified...I am not planning on canning it. I just want to be able to make a big batch, and stash it in the fridge.

    Anyone? :ohwell:
  • Ours never lasts a week when I make a double or triple batch. It will get a bit more watery after a few days but I would say a week or more.
