Anyone else doing P90X? Just started yesterday. Not doing the nurtition they provide because I'm in college so the time nor the funds exist for that. But my husband and I have modified it and made our own high protein, low carb, low fat diet. Any other P90X Experiences? encouragements? Suggestions? Advice? Thanks!! <3

I'm on Phase 2 about to start Phase 3 (next week)..... P90X is very challenging, but if you don't give up, you will get the results that you are looking for. I lost about 18lbs so far, not doing the nutrition plan... Encouragements: Well most of my MFP friends are doing P90X with me. That's my motivation. When I see their logs, burning 500 - 1000 calories daily, I'm instantly motivated.

Do your best and forget the rest <--- where did I hear that from?

    Oh yeah, and BRING IT!!!!!!

I started P90X and realized that the gym was easier for me because I had daycare at the gym. However, I use a lot of the arm and leg workouts, I write them down and then go to the gym and do them. I don't follow the program to a T but that I know that if you do it everyday like you are suppose to, you will get results. I followed some of the meal plan and still do because I like the protein and notice a big weight difference when I watch my carbs. Good luck!!
  • I'm trying it for a second time. My husband and I started it last April and we got about half way through before we got off track, with summer vacations and such.

I saw incredible results in just 30 days. My husband not so much. I was trying my hardest to get the P90X nutrition plan down, he didn't watch what he ate.

I will say that the nutrition plan is HARD to follow. I didn't lose any weight. I started at 134.6 and was the same when we stopped. I did see a lot of definition, though. I didn't feel like I was making a lot of progress, because the scale wasn't going down, but the pics really showed it! I was amazed! I can only imagine the results I would have gotten if I had completed the entire 90 days. I apparently gained muscle while losing fat, and stayed the same weight. I started it this round, about 3 lbs heavier than the first time. :(

I'm hoping I can pull it off this time. It's a HUGE commitment to work out for an hour or more a day, 6 days a week. I work 50 hour weeks, so it's extremely hard on me, but I want to get back into shape so badly.
  • i did one round (90days) last winter/spring. it definatly works. I use the weight training sequence as an outline for my strength training routines..I dont use the nutrional guide for me I am fimilare enough with nutrition and my body to know what I can eat and not eat.I just have a time with how much to eat when I place heavy demands on my body, I revert back to the old less is more thinking
