Is anyone on here Primal?

Options
I was just wondering if anyone else on here is doing the primal thing. I did it over the summer, and felt absolutely amazing. However, coming back to college, I've kind of fallen off of the bandwagon. But now I'm doing it once again, and trying to find some meals that are easy to whip up.

Basically my meals usually of steak, hamburgers made of ground lean sirloin, and chicken that I make on my George Foreman Grill. And then I'll have some Steamfresh green beans or broccoli. I also eat a lot of fruit, celery, and raw carrots throughout the day.

However, I'm getting bored...

Does anyone have any tips or ideas for things I could whip up ahead of time? I live in a dorm, so it's really a drag to cook. Usually I'll just make everything I need for the week all at once.

Thanks!!

Primal... like lean cooked meats and raw fruits & veggies? I don't think I've heard that term often enough to know exactly* what you mean. But the description sounds a lot like me sometimes.

If you like to use the Foreman grill, you might want to try some super-lean pork loin cuts (boneless pork loin chops). I like to season any meats with a little Lawry's Season Salt. It really ramps up the flavor of beef, pork, or chicken. Yum! You can dice up your meat into bite-size chunks and throw it on top of the steamed veggies.

If you have a fridge in your dorm, keep salads and greens in there. Salad goes with almost any meal. And if you have a microwave, you can keep potatoes handy. Wash & bake them wrapped in a paper towel for about 5-7 minutes, depending on the size of the potato and the wattage of the microwave.

For most days of the week I eat similarly to that. I eat raw cucumbers/carrots as a snack and I eat turkey breast/chicken breast/tuna/eggs for my protein. I do eat some grains though. I eat pre-made tortillas and some organic cereals. But mostly I stick to veggies/fruits/almonds and the other things mentioned above.

I utilize tons of recipe sites.

This is a good one (not completely Paleo, but most of it is) - http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/

    http://www.thefoodee.com/blog/category/uncategorized/meal-of-the-day/

    http://paleogirls.com/

    http://stevepaleo.blogspot.com/

    http://www.paleofood.com/

I find it is simple to stick with as long as you cook lots of different things! I am not 100% Paleo, I do eat dairy, I don't have issues with it though like some others do. However I am 100% gluten free.

I follow a Primal lifestyle (as much as we can afford). One site that I would recommend would be
    www.everydaypaleo.com
It has a lot of really great recipes... If you're living in dorms I would just suggest maybe trying to get as much of the way there as possible... maybe consider finding a friend who has an oven/stove that you can borrow to cook meals and then freeze or refrigerate as necessary.
    Hope it helps!
