and I don't eat a lot of junk food or dessert let's say... 3x a week tops. but i can't seem to lose weight/ fat around my mid-section I try to do at least 20 minutes cardio (jumping jacks/ walking) a day and a few crunches but nothing seems to work.

calories in, calories out. I'm a vegetarian and I thought I ate well before joining MFP. Well, I did eat healthy things - I just tended to overeat. There's nothing inherent in the vegetarian diet that would keep one from gaining weight. Make sure when you're tracking calories on MFP that you include absolutely every ingredient in every dish you make and choose the exact brands you're using. Don't forget oil when you fry/bake/grill/anything. It all adds up.0

How long have you been trying? It could be that while the rest of you is shrinking away, your tummy is also shrinking in proportion. Have you tried measuring rather than weighing? I think you can exercise target areas but i dont know how - maybe someone else can come along and advise?

that's very true but it is so damn tedious lol0

Hmm... I do measure and for some reason my stomach is actually bigger in comparison to my body... my bust is about let's say 37-38 and my stomach is 34 yeahh.. kinda big and my hips are 38. i mean i do enough cardio and i take protein powder/tofu/nuts. do i need to tone-up more?0

I've seen it a few times where ppl thought they would lose weight by being vegetarian. But if you are eating alot of prepackaged things veggie burgers and the like those are just as bad in sodium then anything, water retention will be high. and it would be rather easy to go over on portions because as i have learned just because it is low in calories...it is usually insane on sodium.0

you're right! idk why it is, is it because they put so many artificial ingredients and flavors?? yaa i eat a lot of fake meat so that might be it, but other than that i try to get a lot of fiber in my diet meh anyways thank you all.
another problem i have is filling up on more nutritious calories but "healthy food" doesn't make me full unfortunately so i turn to carbs0 -
Soya nuts are pretty filling I've found, but can be high sodium. I think sodium really fills me up, and may be bloating me too. I can't get my tummy down since having a C section, and it is bugging!0
