Hey I'm New :)

Just joined today thanks to the fab iphone app for MFP :) I am now hoping joining this community will spur me on with my weightloss and help me lost the weight i want gone once and for all!

Abit about me...I am 20 years old and a literature student from the UK. My weight has been a constant struggle for me for as long as i can remember and i always have been the slightly 'bigger' girl in class, work etc..I have tried many diets in the past some crazy and some simply starvation...consequently none of them working. So i am counting and tracking my calories and making a lifestyle change..no more faddy diets! I currently weigh 176lbs and i would love to lose 46lbs taking me to 130lbs which with a height of 5ft 5in would give me a healthy bmi of 21.6..compared with my current of 29.3 :/

I am doing this for the self confidence that i have always lacked. I believe with my lack of self confidence i have grown into a paranoid woman who does not have one ounce of self believe and assurance inside. I want to be confident so i can enjoy time with my boyfriend, so i can wear nice clothes and not feel like i am being judged for my appearance.

I fully recognize this will not be easy and it will take time, effort and commitment to lose this weight, so your help would be greatly appreciated :) Hope you all are well!
