not a pro at all, but we girls don't have to worry about big muscle gains! However, you would need to lift lighter weight with more reps so that you don't gain much mass! I am sure someone with more knowledge will provide some better info!0

Well, I take it that you must be new to the whole weight training world. Well, personally I don't think you will have too much to worry bout. Just stick with lighter weights and 12 to 15 reps. You should be fine. And it takes a really long time to be muscular lookin.0

Use the resistance bands instead of dumbbells if you're really worried about getting bulky. The important part is to keep the diet in line while doing p90x. If you are still eating under your maintenance, you'll tone up nicely.0

I never saw a female get bulky in all my years as a gym rat. And these girls were lifting big and hard, just like us. Yeah, yeah, some girls will bulk quickly but you can bet that they are genetically unique just like a male natural body builder is. Give either one drugs and they will both balloon up.0

I can lift very heavy weights with my lower body and I do not have huge muscles. Same with my shoulders, I can lift fairly heavy weights doing shoulder exercises and I never managed to "grow" huge muscles.0

Don't worry. I'm into my 2nd phase of P90x and can't find a muscle in here yet0

Women do NOT get bulky without 2-3 hours in the gym plus testosterone supplements and an extremely high protein low carb diet.
P90X done to the T will not bulk up a woman. Look at the women in the videos. Not bulky at all, but doing the same work as Tony.
Look at me in my profile picture...taken after finishing my second round of Classic P90X. No where near bulky, but still able to do 60+ military push-ups in under a minute...and I have this awesome video of me doing unassisted pull-ups. Strong, not bulky.
No need to worry. The women bulking up thing is a myth. :flowerforyou:0 -
Don't worry, you won't bulk up. I have a very large and broad frame for a female, and while I do get really big "guns" from all the pushups, I can only be thankful that a) my husband loves his "muscley-armed sailor girl", and b) those muscles are keeping my bones strong well into the future. Good luck with the P90X, I go back to it quite a bit0

Damn! On a scale of 1-10 of badassery, I'm pretty sure you just scored a 12.
Yeah I said it, BADASSERY!0 -

I'd bet my life Tony did not get his bulk from the P90X regimen.0
