I am so wanting to be in better shape for spring/summer- I want to be the mom playing- not the one sitting in the chair.
I want to be able to enjoy my pictures of vacations to the beach and to Disney, or even to the lake. Not be disgusted at myself when I look at them.

I am looking for other active moms- I have 3 kids. (Yes, I drive a mini van) We are a very active family but I always lag behind. Anyone else feel this way?

That was about how I felt this time last year. I got so winded playing on the playground or just playing chase with my then 2 year old. While I am still far away from my ultimate goals, I have really upped my cardio training over the past 6 months or so and I now feel like I can easily play outside with her and push her on her new bike for as long as she wants to go!

Yup that's me. My daughter played three years of baseball, and I wasn't even able to go out and toss her a ball to practice at home. She just finished her first season of basketball at school, and there is a banquet tomorrow that includes a mini game of the kids against the parents, and I SO want to play. I am a little scared though because I don't know if I have THAT much stamina yet. I can make it through most of a Zumba class, as long as I get water between songs, but actually running down a basketball court is still scary. Which is irritating. I should be able to play two quarters of a basketball game with my ten year old. It shouldn't be a matter of whether or not I CAN but just if I want to. Because that's the easy decision.

I have 3 boys (and yes I drive a minivan too) and I feel the same way. I take the pictures so I won't be in them and feel bad that my young children are already better than me at everything from walking to sports to swimming. I want to keep up and eventually be able to teach them a thing or two.

MFP has been working great for me and I feel like I am starting to understand where my downfalls are and what I can do to change things.

Best of luck in your fitness journey!!
