I would like to do the warrior dash in md this may. Is anyone else doing it?? I live on Kent Island, I'd love to find a training buddy. :) Or anyone that has done it that wants to share their experience.

I'll be doing it! I saw the course online - and I've heard it's pretty casual. Just my out-of-shape speed!
While I don't think there's any training available outside of an actual obstacle course, I'm doing weights as well as cardio, so if my muscles don't know how to do something I can try to power through it.

I am thinking about doing it as well and trying to talk my sis. I live in Bel Air. I heard that it is really tough but that everyone is super supportive and it is all about having fun. How are you going to train? It sounds like we should just build muscle and endurance. I am a little worried because although I am getting in better shape now, just a 5k kicks my butt. As me as a friend so we cna share ideas about training. Good luck to you. :)

I am signed up with some friends for the April 30th race in Arizona!! I am excited! For training, I am just trying to up my cardio on the treadmill. I never really enjoyed doing cardio on a treadmill (I enjoy the elliptical, bike or stairmaster). I need to get my long distance running times better! Of course I am also lifting weights like normal to build muscle for the obstacles :) have fun!

I'm just training by running. I'm not worried about the obstacles because I pole dance (for fitness) so my strength is pretty good.

I did it in Orlando back in January. What a blast! I wouldn't be to nervous about it. I didn't train at all and didn't consider myself a runner to say the least. It's a lot of fun and no one that I was running around really took it too serious, so every one kinda supported and helped each other. Heres my pics http://www.sportphoto.com/Event.aspx?EventID=136 BIB 50445 and video http://www.moverati.com/event/warrior-dash-florida-2011/tag/50445

With the video, the crossing the finish line one is not me...but jumping into the huge mud pool (2nd video) is. You'll love it!
