PB & Jam toast

Hello there.
How is everything?
I was trying to look up the calories for a whole wheat peanut butter and jam toast on MFP but I found two different numbers. One of them said that it's 500 calories for the toast made of two slices of whole wheat bread with one table spoon of peanut butter and one table spoon of jam. Whereas the other figure was 320 calories for the same thing. Which one do you guys think is correct? I'm thinking 500 but I still wanted to see what you guys think.
Thanks.

Count each piece seprately - log your bread, measure and log your pb and your jam0

I guess it would depend on the brands used. Your best bet is to check the nutritional info on the packet and jars and try to work it out yourself.0

Yes I would log each item seperately0

Yeah type in the exact bread you use, the exact jam/jelly used, exact pb used.
For example:
2 pieces Ezekiel Bread 7 Grain
2 tsp Smuckers Raspberry Preseves
2 tbs Jiff Peanut Butter0 -
I always try to list separatly to make sure as close to accurate as possible Also some ingredents arent always listed correctly (calories, fat) so make sure ccompare products to those listed on MFP- may have to enter your own items at times0

If I separate the parts I get:
2 bread=200, 1 T PB=95. T jam (which is a lot of jam)=50
Total=345
But the calories can vary. Check yours on the package to be completely accurate.0 -
Typical slice of bread is 100 calories....so 200 calories for bread
Average calories for 1 tbst of pb is 95 calories
1 tbsp is anywhere from 25-50 calories...
Total= 320-345 calories (at least how I make mine)
BUT....like everyone else said, it truly depends on what bread, what pb and what jam you are using.0 -
Log separately. The bread I buy has only 50 calories a slice (Nature's Own Whole Wheat) and the PB I normally use (Smuckers Natural Creamy) is 100 per TBSP. I don't touch jam or jelly. It's the junk food of the fruit world.0

always log things seperately, its the only way to make sure things are accurate0

Thanks guys. Great points.
I can't really check the nutrition information on the packages of the bread and jam with the PB because I wanted to buy it at the cafe at work. But I'll just calculate the numbers my self for the same types of products. Seems to be more like 350-390 calories.
Thanks a lot for the prompt responses guys!!!0 -
yeah it depends on how much peanut butter and jam you put. the one thats 500 is probably the 2 tbspoons of PB, and 1 TB of jam. i personally cannot put a whole 2 tbsp of PB in my sandwiches. measure out what you put on there and log it seperately.0
