I want to be super healthy for future Grandbabies. My son got married last Oct. and they want to start a family. I want to keep up with those babies and enjoy them in every way!

Everyone has such great goals! Its nice to see people talking about other things they want to accomplish other than a meaningless number on a scale!

My non scale goal is to take a TON of pictures when I'm out with friends and feel good about most of them instead of only liking one.

    My non-scale goals:

    - fly comfortably, instead of a sardine. I'm the nice guy that will try to squash himself up as little as possible so as not to impose on others. I plan on taking trips when I reach my goal.

    - buy some cool @$$ halloween costumes, hopefully a kick@$$ TRON Legacy styled costume.

    - gain self confidence and become more outgoing... possibly even going from an introvert to an extrovert.

    - actually stand up on the surfboard instead of body-riding it in to the shore.

Those are just some of the things I hope to accomplish when I reach my goal weight. I mean, when you think about it, the list can be quite endless. There are so many things in life that I (we) may not have yet accomplished because our size/weight doesnt permit it. And granted, getting to my goal weight may not allow some things still, but there are still a lot of things I hope to do.

walk around the beach and pool in a bikini this summer and not worry about what people are thinking
be back to a size 8 or even go for a 6
    buy an amazing wedding dress
participate in the livestrong challenge again this summer! (Walked 5K, loved it but my legs killed later that day haha. I'd like to do it and not feel in pain!)
grow stronger fingernails (random but I always bite mine bc they are brittle and soft)

    - Waist circumference 32"
    - < 30% body fat (as measured by our probably quite incorrect scales)
    - Able to run a mile, and maybe a 5k next year in approx 30 min
    - Able to cycle the entire 30 miles from work to home by next summer

Not being horrendously disappointed by pictures of myself
Being able to find clothes I like in my size
    Wearing short sleeve shirts
Fitting into the clothes I used to and realizing I was NOT fat then
Have someone comment on my loss
Going swimming without feeling super super self concious

To bench press my own weight.
    Run a 12K in under 10MPM.
Run one race a month this season.

A NSV I didn't know I had but realized - my kids keep taking my clothes when folding them. So I finally tried on one of my 11 yo's shirts and pants - and they fit - they're too short but I can get them buttoned. And he's a super skinny 11 yo and still 60lbs less than me.

I love the idea of NWG's. I have accomplished my first one. People at work are noticing that I have lost weight. I really wanted people to start saying something without me having to bing it up. its kinda nice to know that all the hard work is noticable :)
