New Panera Salad!

I just had a fantastic lunch at Panera and wanted to share their new menu item! Their Thai Chopped Chicken Salad is awesome AND under 400 calories for the full size...which is huge. They top romaine lettuce and grilled chicken with bell peppers, wonton strips, edamame, carrots and a peanut sauce. Extremely filling, tons of flavor and protein, and nothing to feel guilty over.

That sounds very nice. It's nice to be able to stop somewhere for lunch with friends and not have to feel guilty about it.0

Maybe I will try that tomorrow! Thanks for sharing.0 -
I know! It's no dainty salad AT ALL. I was pleasantly surprised.0

I hate to be a party pooper. I love Panera salads too. But be careful of their sodium levels.0

I love their BBQ chopped chicken salad! Half portion is less than 250 calories and very filling and oh so good.0

I had it yesterday and it was so good I am afraid they are going to come out and say "Oops, we made a mistake. It's higher than we said" LOL0

You're absolutely right, it's very high in sodium. Not something I'd eat every day because of that, but in comparison to a lot of restaurant meals, still a decent choice.0 -
I tried that salad last weekend and it was amazing. I got 1/2 a salad and 1/2 of a Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich on whole grain bread and it was only a little over 300 calories. It may be high in sodium, but it seems like all restaurant food is. I try to eat at home as much as possible.0

YUMMY..that sounds spectacular! thanks!0

I have tried it. It was pretty good. I am currently hooked on PotBelly's Uptown salad.0

MM sounds delish!
the Asian Sesame Chicken salad is also only 400 calories for a full size and has about 500 mg less of sodium than the Thai salad and is also very good. THats usually my go to food when we eat out.0 -
I am definitely a fan of the Thai Chopped Chicken Salad. Panera has been a little frustrating with things you'd think were healthy, but are ridiculously high in fat (check out the nutrition info for their creamy tomato soup, for example). But this one's a winner.0

They put the calorie counts on their menu now and the meal builder online rocks.
Creamy soups are always high in cals and such. I LOVE the cream of chicken and wild rice soup soo much :(I am definitely a fan of the Thai Chopped Chicken Salad.
