Hello all! I'm a 35 year old single mom of three who has ranged from "a little chunky" to "morbidly obese since I was 5 years old. I've started this journey countless times before and I always start off great
> eating super healthy and working out hard every day. Then, something would happen. I would get sick, or injured, or have a very stressful week say F it and pig out at one dinner and BAM I'd QUIT.

Well, no more. I don't remember exactly what put the fire under me for this year, but when Jan 1 rolled around, I was ready with MFP already running. I've worked out every single day with the exception of 4. I've eaten healthy 99% of the time, with the occasional serving of cookies or chocolate milk or pizza (but the calories are ALWAYS counted!!) I've continued to work out daily despite being out the door at 7am and home about 5 with three kids to cook for, and I've been ACTUALLY COOKING! Eating out was sortof the norm before. I've kept it up even when I got strep throat, I've worked out through bad headaches, I've taken a serving size of something yummy when craving strike vs. eating the entire box/bag.

I'm very proud of myself and my progress. Tomorrow is day 55 for me and I'm down 18 lbs so far (last weigh in was Feb. 18th) MFP is a MAJOR part of my sticking with this. The attention W**** LOVES everyone clicking "like" on FB and making comments here, on FB and twitter. On days I'm tired and am not feeling like working out, I do it anyway just to get the praise!

In the grand scheme of things, 55 days isn't very long, especially when I have at LEAST 120 to lose in total. However, it's a fabulous start. I can use all the support I can get and I try my best to give it often as well so feel free to add me and we can do this thing together!

~Maria
